What counts as a "user"?

A user is anyone with a login to your Savvina instance, whether they actively query data or just view saved results.

What's the difference between a data source type and a connection?

A type is a kind of system — PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MongoDB. A connection is one specific database you point Savvina at. Starter includes 3 types of your choosing, and you can create as many connections as you like within them: three separate Postgres databases count as one type. Every plan has unlimited connections.

Can I change my 3 data source types later?

Yes, any time — the change reaches your instance within a few minutes. If you drop a type, connections of that type are hidden and paused rather than deleted: their configuration, history and saved work stay exactly as they were, and they come back automatically the moment you re-add the type or upgrade.

Do you charge per query?

No. Savvina is BYOLLM — you bring your own LLM provider API key, so there's no per-query or per-token charge from us regardless of how much you query.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing and restore anything a smaller plan had paused. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. Your license key doesn't change and your deployment keeps running — the new limits reach it at its next check-in, so there's nothing to reinstall. If your team is larger than the new plan allows, the members over the limit are paused rather than removed; their accounts and work stay intact and everyone returns if you upgrade again.

How many deployments can I run on one license?

One. The first deployment to check in claims the license, and another deployment using the same key is refused. Email [email protected] if you need to know which one currently holds it, and when it last checked in. If you need several deployments, such as staging alongside production, contact [email protected].

How do I move my deployment to a new server?

Stop the old deployment, then email [email protected] and we'll release its claim on your license — usually the same day. Set the same license key on the new server and start it. We don't make this a self-serve button on purpose: releasing a license while the old deployment is still running would leave it validating against your key with no way for you to take it back.

Is there a free trial on paid plans?

There's no trial on paid plans. Community is free, self-hosted, and lets you evaluate Savvina on your own data (single user, BSL 1.1) before you subscribe. For a production rollout, we set Savvina up with you and issue an evaluation licence so you can run it on real data first — talk to us at [email protected].

Can I self-host any plan?

Yes — every plan, including Community, runs on your own infrastructure via Docker. Savvina never touches your data.
